Mounting a TV on a Gypsum Wall in Dubai: Fixings That Hold
How to mount a TV on a gypsum wall: finding metal studs, choosing fixings and brackets, avoiding hidden cables and pipes, and when to call a pro.
Dubai Marina is a waterfront of high-rise towers, and the sea air, humidity and tight building rules shape almost every repair we carry out here.

We are called most often for AC repair & maintenance, glass & aluminium solutions and waterproofing services here. Every other service on our list is available too.
Fan coil units and split systems work hard in humid waterfront air, and regular cleaning helps prevent drips, odours and mould.
Sea air wears balcony door tracks, locks and seals, so sliding doors stick and let in dust and noise.
Resealing showers, balconies and wet areas stops leaks into the apartment below before management gets involved.
The earliest Marina towers still have original mixers, valves and waste lines that start to drip or block after years of hard water.
Quick fixes, curtain rails, hinges and small repairs between tenants or holiday-home guests keep units ready to let.
Each has its own page with notes on its buildings and access rules.
The issues we see most often: salt air on metal and glass; humidity and hidden condensation; leaks that reach the flat below; fast turnarounds for short-term lets; shops and cafés on the Marina Walk.
Being a few hundred metres from the sea, Marina towers get salt in the air every day. Balcony rails, door tracks, window hinges and outdoor AC parts corrode faster here than in inland areas. Stainless and aluminium fittings need regular cleaning and the right grade of replacement.
Summer nights on the water can be very humid. Condensation forms on chilled water pipes and around AC grilles, which leads to stained ceilings, swollen skirting boards and mould behind wardrobes. Insulation and drain checks usually solve the cause, not just the stain.
In a stacked tower, a failed shower seal or a cracked waste pipe quickly becomes your neighbour's problem. Building management often asks the upstairs owner to repair and prove the fix. We trace the source, repair it and reseal wet areas properly.
Many Marina apartments are let as holiday homes. Owners need repairs, touch-up painting and snag lists done between guests, often at short notice. We confirm a visit time when you call and work to your booking calendar where we can.
Shops and restaurants along the Marina Walk sit in tower podiums. Grease traps, kitchen extract, shopfront glazing and outdoor terraces need regular care. Work is usually limited to quieter hours and follows both tower and retail management rules.
We offer maintenance services in Dubai Marina for apartments, penthouses and the shops and offices at the base of its towers. The Marina is a man-made canal lined with high-rises, laid out by Emaar in the early 2000s. The individual towers were built by many different developers over roughly two decades, so finishes, layouts and building systems vary a lot from one block to the next.
Homes are almost all apartments. The earliest towers were among the first freehold homes in Dubai, while many of the tallest came later. Owners include long-term residents, holiday-home operators and investors who let their units, so we see a steady mix of move-in fixes, tenant changeovers and full refurbishments.
JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence), the row of beachfront towers between the Marina and The Walk, has its own page. Across Sheikh Zayed Road, JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers) is a separate district around a set of artificial lakes, managed by DMCC.
The Marina is a canal with sea access at both ends. Emaar's own projects, including the Marina Promenade towers, Marina Plaza, Dubai Marina Mall and Pier 7, sit among towers from other developers. Some Marina towers are among the tallest residential buildings in the city, so jobs often depend on service lift slots and the distance from the loading bay. Lower floors face the Marina Walk, where restaurant terraces and yacht berths bring noise, humidity and salt right up to the façade.
Every Marina tower has its own management office, and most require a contractor work permit before we start. This usually includes the unit number, owner or tenant consent, our company documents and a short description of the work. Noisy work is generally allowed only during set daytime hours on working days. Materials and debris must use the service lift and loading bay, not the main lobby, and some towers ask for lift protection to be booked. Street parking along the Marina is limited, so we arrange drop-offs through the loading bay. We are happy to help you prepare the permit request.

Who has to approve a balcony enclosure in Dubai, why many towers refuse, what changes on villa terraces, and what to ask building management first.

Why timber doors swell and catch in Dubai's humid summers, and a step-by-step way to fix them without planing off too much.
The Marina sits next to the sea, so the air carries salt and moisture. Low-grade steel screws, hinges and rails rust much faster than they would inland. When we replace fittings here, we use corrosion-resistant materials where possible and clean tracks and seals so the problem does not return straight away.
Turn off the water to any fixture you suspect and tell building management. We then inspect the shower, bath, kitchen sink and AC drain to find the source. Most leaks come from a failed seal, grout or waste pipe. After the repair, we can give you a short note of the work for the building and your neighbour.
Yes. We handle repair lists for short-term let units, including AC cleaning, minor plumbing, touch-up painting, door and drawer adjustments and replacing worn fittings. Tell us your check-out and check-in times and we will plan the visit around them, subject to the building's permitted work hours.
Yes. We handle repairs, repainting, glazing and door fixes, ceiling work and small fit-out changes in podium shops and food outlets. The tower or retail management usually decides when noisy or dusty work can happen, often outside trading hours. We agree the schedule with you and the management before starting, so the unit can keep trading.
Mostly it affects logistics. We book the service lift through building management, size materials to fit it, and plan deliveries through the loading bay. Outside window and façade cleaning is done by the building's own access equipment, so we work from inside the flat. Allow a little extra time for lift waits in the busier towers.
On Palm Jumeirah, almost every home faces the sea, so pools, gardens, glass and metalwork need more care here than anywhere inland.
We keep Barsha Heights' mid-rise and high-rise towers in working order, from studio flats and hotel apartments to small office floors near the Metro.
Al Barsha mixes mid-rise apartment blocks near Mall of the Emirates with villa streets further back, and a large share of homes here are rented.
We look after JVT's villas and townhouses, plus the apartment buildings on its edges, with outdoor projects planned around Nakheel's community rules.
