How does handyman work differ by property type?
Apartment jobs are usually mounting, assembly and fixing loose fittings. Villas tend to have longer lists across more rooms, plus outdoor items like wall lights, house numbers and gate fittings. Offices call us for whiteboards, signage, shelving, blinds and furniture assembly.
What makes small jobs different in Dubai homes?
Walls vary a lot between Dubai properties. Many towers use concrete or blockwork for outer walls and gypsum board for internal partitions. Some newer apartments have gypsum almost everywhere. A heavy TV or a full bookshelf needs different fixings for each, so we check the wall before drilling rather than using one anchor for everything. Hidden pipes and cables are common behind bathroom and kitchen walls, so we scan before we drill there.
Humidity and heat affect the small things too. Silicone around baths and showers grows mould faster in damp, poorly ventilated bathrooms. Adhesive hooks and cheap plastic plugs soften and fail in hot rooms facing west. We use mechanical fixings where a load matters.
Buildings have their own rules. Most towers only allow drilling and noisy work during set hours, and many ask for contractor details at the security desk. Gated villa communities may need a gate pass. Check with your building management or community office first. We work within whatever times they set.
Apartments
Apartment jobs are usually mounting, assembly and fixing loose fittings. We plan around lift bookings and quiet hours, and protect floors in the corridor as we carry tools in.
Villas & townhouses
Villas tend to have longer lists across more rooms, plus outdoor items like wall lights, house numbers and gate fittings. One visit can cover inside and out.

Handyman Services: common questions
What jobs does a handyman not do?
We keep handyman visits to small mixed jobs. Leaks, blocked drains and water heater faults go to our plumbing services. Cooling problems go to AC repair and maintenance. Built-in wardrobes, door planing and cabinet repairs go to carpentry work. This way the right technician arrives with the right tools and parts.
Can you mount a large TV on a gypsum wall?
Often yes, but it depends on the TV's weight and what is behind the board. We look for metal studs or use heavy-duty cavity anchors rated for the load. If the wall cannot safely hold it, we tell you and suggest another wall or a floor stand. We do not mount heavy screens on gypsum without proper fixing. Do I need to buy the brackets and fixings?
You can supply your own TV bracket, curtain rail or blinds. We bring standard screws, plugs and anchors. If you would rather we source the parts, tell us what you want when you book and we confirm the cost of materials before buying.
Can you help me get my deposit back when I move out?
We can fix the usual handover issues: wall holes, loose fittings, missing door stoppers and mouldy silicone. Our guide on move-out repairs in Dubai lists what landlords usually check. If walls need a full repaint, we book that under painting and decoration.
How long does a handyman visit take?
It depends on the list. Hanging three pictures is quick. Building a large wardrobe can take most of a morning. Send us the list and photos and we will tell you roughly how long to plan for, so you can book the lift and be at home.
Do you work in offices and shops?
Yes. We assemble office furniture, mount screens and whiteboards, fit blinds and fix doors and fittings. Many commercial buildings only allow drilling outside business hours, so tell us your building's rules and we plan the visit around them. For a larger office move, we can split the work over more than one visit.
