Mek-Madin Fitout provides carpentry work across Dubai for apartments, villas, townhouses, offices and shops. Typical work includes door planing, rehanging and hinge replacement; door frame and architrave repair; and lock and handle fitting on timber doors. Call or WhatsApp +971 52 884 8916, Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 2am. Every job is quoted before work starts.
Our carpentry services in Dubai cover two kinds of work. Repairs: doors that rub or will not latch, sagging wardrobe doors, broken drawers, damaged kitchen cabinets and loose skirting. And new work: built-in wardrobes, shelving, TV units, study desks and storage made to fit an awkward corner.
Most wood problems in Dubai homes come back to moisture and heat. Doors swell in humid months and shrink when the AC dries the air. Cabinets under kitchen sinks and bathroom vanities soak up water from small leaks. We fix the woodwork and tell you if something else, such as a leak, is causing it.

We have worked in Dubai's towers, villas and older blocks since 2021.
You approve the quote first. If the scope changes, we stop and agree it with you.

We tell you what your building or community needs and prepare our part of the paperwork.
The most common signs: doors rub, stick or will not latch; wardrobe doors sag or do not line up; swollen or peeling cabinet edges; drawers stick or drop; not enough storage.
Swelling, loose hinges or a dropped frame all stop a door closing properly. Planing alone is not always the answer, so we check the cause first.
Hinges work loose and screw holes strip in particle board over time. Sliding doors jump their tracks when runners wear.
Water from a leak or a dishwasher makes MDF and particle board swell and lose its edging. Once it swells, it rarely goes back.
Worn runners and broken drawer bottoms are common in busy kitchens. Replacing runners is often a quick fix.
Many Dubai apartments have small built-ins or none at all. Custom shelving and wardrobes make use of alcoves and high ceilings.
We handle all 11 jobs listed here. Tell us what you need and we confirm the exact scope before work starts.
It runs in 5 steps: Share photos and sizes, site visit and measuring, quote and design, workshop and fitting, final adjustment.
Send photos of the damaged item or the space you want to fill, with rough measurements. This helps us plan materials.
For new work, we measure on site and discuss materials, finishes and hardware. For repairs, we confirm the cause of the damage.
You get a quote with materials listed. For custom pieces, we agree a simple drawing before cutting anything.
Repairs are usually done on site. Larger pieces may be cut off site and fitted in your home to keep dust down.
We align doors, set hinges and check every drawer and door closes properly before we leave.
There is no fixed price list: every job is quoted after we understand it. These 5 factors move the number up or down.

Apartment jobs are often wardrobe repairs, sticking bedroom doors and extra storage. Villas have more doors, larger kitchens and often a pantry or maid's room with built-ins. Offices and shops need counters, shelving, display units and partitions that can take daily wear.
Wood moves with moisture. In Dubai, indoor air swings between very dry when the AC runs hard and humid when windows are opened or the AC is off during a holiday. Solid timber doors and frames swell and shrink with these changes. That is why a door that closed fine in winter can stick in August. We leave the right gaps and seal cut edges so the timber moves less.
Material choice matters more here than in milder climates. Standard MDF and particle board swell fast if water gets in, which is a problem in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry areas. For wet areas we recommend moisture-resistant boards, marine plywood or sealed edges. In villas near the coast, salty air corrodes cheap hinges and runners, so we suggest stainless or coated hardware.
Heat also matters on west-facing walls and near windows. Strong sun can fade veneers and lift laminates. If built-ins sit in direct light, we discuss finishes that cope better and suggest blinds or film if needed.
Apartment jobs are often wardrobe repairs, sticking bedroom doors and extra storage. We bring pieces up in sections to fit lifts, and keep cutting to a minimum inside the unit.
Villas have more doors, larger kitchens and often a pantry or maid's room with built-ins. We also repair external timber doors that suffer from sun and sand.
Offices and shops need counters, shelving, display units and partitions that can take daily wear. We can work after hours and fit pieces in stages.
Our crews cover every Dubai community. These district pages explain local building rules and access.

Why timber doors swell and catch in Dubai's humid summers, and a step-by-step way to fix them without planing off too much.

How fitted and freestanding wardrobes compare in Dubai homes, covering space, humidity, mould, rental rules, lead times, materials and door types.

Why MDF and chipboard cabinets and wardrobes swell, how to find the water source, which repairs work and when a unit needs replacing.

The kitchen renovation steps for an apartment, in the order they should happen, and what to check before each stage moves on.
Timber takes on moisture when humidity rises, so the door or frame swells slightly. Loose hinges can also let the door drop as it gets heavier. We check the hinges first, then plane only as much as needed and seal the bare edge so it does not soak up moisture again. Our guide to why a wooden door sticks in summer covers this in more detail.
Swollen MDF or particle board rarely returns to shape. We usually replace the damaged panel, door or base with a moisture-resistant board. Before we do, we check for the leak that caused it. If it is from a sink or dishwasher connection, book our plumbing services to fix that first. Our guide to swollen kitchen cabinet and wardrobe repairs explains how to trace the water.
Yes. We measure the space and build wardrobes with hanging, shelving and drawers arranged the way you want. We can match the finish to existing doors or suggest a new one. In rented homes, check with your landlord before adding permanent fixtures.
Flooring is handled under our floor and tiling service, which covers laminate, vinyl and tiles. Our carpenters handle skirting boards, door trims and thresholds where floors meet doors. If a new floor is thicker than the old one, we can trim the bottoms of doors so they still swing freely.
It often is. New kitchens, wardrobes and doors are a big part of most refits. If you are changing layout or several rooms at once, our renovation services team plans the carpentry alongside plumbing, tiling and painting. That way cabinets go in after the walls and floors are ready, and nothing gets damaged by the trades that follow.
Flat-pack assembly is a quick job, so we book it under our handyman services. Carpentry visits are for repairs and work that needs cutting, shaping or fitting to size. If you have both, such as a new wardrobe to assemble and a sticking door, tell us when you book and we send the right person.
